Taxi service on the Chicago River returns Monday, when Wendella's Chicago Water Taxis start their full-time weekday service.

The service shuttles passengers between Madison Street on the South Branch, LaSalle Street, Michigan Avenue, and River East at Ogden Slip, near Lake Michigan. Single rides are $2, and passes are available for 10 rides, weekly and monthly service.

Departures and arrivals are scheduled from 7 a.m. to 7:12 p.m. Monday through Friday; 9:30 a.m. to 6:14 p.m. Saturdays; and 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sundays and holidays.

On April 14, Shoreline Water taxis will begin a similar service from 7 to 9:30 a.m. Monday through Friday and 4 to 6:30 p.m. through October. Free rides will be available from April 14 to 25.
